- Best practices for photos on TBCH: Photos should be 1000px x 1000px, less than 1MB. Label photos with relevant keywords before uploading to your shop and use the Alt Text box for better SEO.
- What apps are good for photo editing?: Canva and Befunky (both have free versions).

- My banner is fuzzy – what can I do?: Use the recommended size (1800px x 525px) and ensure images used in the banner are high quality.

Product Listings and SEO
- What should I have in my listing title?: Write a coherent sentence with keywords upfront; avoid keyword stuffing.
- What information should go into short vs. long descriptions?: Short descriptions should be concise, SEO-rich, and include vital info (e.g., size, gift wrap options). Long descriptions should contain additional details. You must have long descriptions to be included in the paid advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
- How many tags can I use?: Up to 10 tags per listing. Watch this video for more information
- How many categories should I choose?: No more than 6 categories per listing.
- How many categories can I have in my shop?: Unlimited categories can be added to your shop.
- How do I organise shop items?: Use the “sort products” button on your dashboard. Watch this video
- What is the Focus Keyword in SEO Snippet? A “focus keyword” refers to the primary search term that you want your shop to be found by.
- What are the Product Statuses? Draft, Online & Archived
- Draft – Not visible to customers. For products you’re creating or editing.
- Online (Published) Live on the website and available to buy.
- Archived Removed from your shop and no longer accessible. Used to permanently remove a product.
- Can I delete products? Products can’t be deleted. Use Archived (in Bulk Edit) to remove them from your shop.
Shopfront and Contact Information
- What contact info should be displayed on my shop front?: Choose to display your full address, email, phone, or just partial info. Be cautious as Google indexes this information.
- My address/phone number shows on my shop front. How do I remove them?: Go to Vendor Dashboard > Settings > Store.
- Where do I add my T’s & C’s?: Add them under your Shipping Policy.
- Do I need to verify my account with registration details? No, this is optional. If you choose to get verified it locks your address, phone number and email onto your shop front.

Shop Management
- Does it matter if my shop set up isn’t at 100%?: No, it’s fine unless you’ve left key sections incomplete.
- How does Vacation Mode work?: Products remain viewable but not purchasable. Add a shop-level variation for messages.
- I need to pause my store for a few months. What happens? Stopping payments removes your shop and all its data permanently. Consistent payment is required to maintain the store.
Payments and Refunds
- How do I process a refund?: Refund orders via your dashboard (full refunds). For partial refunds, use Stripe and notify TBCH with details via email.
- How do I change my debit/credit card for subscriptions?: Update your card on your shop dashboard under “My Account.”
External Tools and Integrations
- How do reviews work?: Link to external platforms like Google Reviews, Trustpilot, or Facebook. Other marketplaces are not allowed.
- How do I import my Etsy CSV?: Email your CSV file to info@thebritishcrafthouse.co.uk after trimming it to 75 or 100 listings (depending on your package).

- Where can I get TBCH logos and branding?: Available in the files section of the Facebook Hub. Do not modify them.
