Request Account Deletion – The British Craft House

At The British Craft House, we respect your privacy and provide users the ability to delete their accounts directly from within the app or via the web.

How to Delete Your Account

You can request deletion of your account in the following ways:

### Option 1: In the App
1. Open the app.
2. Navigate to `My Account > Delete Account`.
3. Confirm the deletion.

### Option 2: Via Our Website
1. Log in at [https://thebritishcrafthouse.co.uk/my-account](https://thebritishcrafthouse.co.uk/my-account).
2. Click on the `Delete Account` tab.
3. Confirm the deletion.

> If you are a vendor using Dokan, your store and associated data will also be removed.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account?

When you confirm deletion:
– Your account credentials and personal information (name, email, address, etc.) are **permanently deleted**.
– Any vendor store associated with your account is **disabled and removed**.
– WooCommerce orders and transaction records are **anonymized or retained as required by law** (e.g., for tax purposes).
– We do **not** retain your data for marketing or analytics after deletion.

Retention Period

Some data (like invoices or order metadata) may be retained for **up to 7 years** for legal compliance (e.g., accounting), even after account deletion. These are anonymized and not linked to your identity.
